Takes a minute, from inside the app or the site
You do not need to write to anyone: deletion is a button in Settings and takes effect immediately.
- Open Settings — the You tab in the app, or the gear on the site — and sign in if you are not.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out and the account is gone.
What is removed, what stays
When you delete your account, your name, email, password and sign-in ids are removed immediately. Your photos, comments and added spots stay, shown without a name, linked by an internal id we keep only so we can remove all contributions of an account that abused the service. If you also want those contributions gone, write to [email protected] from the address the account used and we remove them by hand.
Votes and ratings you made are already anonymous and stay as totals. Needs and saved spots kept on your device are not touched — clear them from Settings, or by deleting the app.
Cannot sign in any more?
Email [email protected] from the address the account was registered with and ask for it to be deleted. A person does it by hand and confirms within five working days. If you lost access to that address too, say so — we will ask you a couple of questions to check it is your account.
